JJQ#6: Time for a Change

“If you could change any part of yourself, what would it be?”

I would hesitate to change much because our faults, just as much as our talents, make us who we are. They define the things we must overcome to move ahead…

To pick one anyway: I would like to be less judgemental of other people. People are not clockwork mannequins, and can’t be “repaired” by pointing out deficiencies. But I often allow really petty jealousies to determine the course of a work-day, conversation, or accidental encounter. Too much time in your own head is a bad thing. You must allow people their warts so that you can be surprised, even delighted, by life.

Of course the corollary is that we must have our own warts so other people can be delighted too 😉

Man, ain't that the truth? 😀
