All about the compost

On the occasion of our new bin, here we are doing our best American Gothic:

and here’s the bin:

We have the capacity for all of next year’s vegetables, and in fact have a trash can full of the “black gold” ready to put in. When the weather turns cold we’ll mix the compost into the vegetable beds to let it rest during the winter. In the spring, we are fertile and ready to plant.

    Love the picture!! LOL. I am so glad you kept the picture of the wooden face that you had on Vox. I am totally thrown by the new blog names and then when people don’t keep anything the same, I have to write down who they are… woooo!

    Compost is a wonderful thing. I haven’t done any gardening this year. I’m hoping to get some major yard work done tomorrow.
